Small towns can be found throughout the galaxy, and regardless of the planet on which they’re located they tend to have a lot of similarities. Especially when Humans make up the majority of the people who live there. One common trait they share is boredom. Small towns don’t usually offer much in the way of recreation and this problem gets worse the more isolated a community is.
